Mild earthquake tremors were felt in Seoni at 9.05 pm on Monday night. People got scared in Housing Board Colony of Nagar Bara area. Many people came out of their homes. The underground rocks in Seoni are limestone. Their structures are such that whenever rain water enters them, these rocks shrink. When the internal holes between them get closed, they sink. This is why earthquakes occur.
